Christmas Bracelets - DIY

Hi all! Throughout my stress and business of finals this year I was so thrilled about Christmas.
I decided to share my excitement by sending my favorite ladies a little bundle of holiday joy. I made them these adorbale bracelets by following this amazing tutorial. 

 they're so fun and easy!

running of the bulls

this weekend my roommates and I participated in an event called running of the bulls.

in a shortened explanation it is an event held in spain every year where people dress up, and run the streets with the bulls behind them. they spend the week celebrating and attending the crazy festivities.

....although i didn't actually get the pleasure of returning to spain this weekend, the University of Minnesota brought the "Running of the Bulls" right here to dinkytown for us.

in honor of today i thought i would blog a little about the upcoming elections.

i'm not going to sit and bore everyone with my opinions on politics, but i am going to let everyone

know about my excitement to vote NO to the 2012 marriage amendment. 

this is something i feel passionate about and i can't wait to take part in the decision of it.

back in full force

hello everyone. i'm back!

after taking a much needed summer off from blogging

for time to be spent focusing on working, hometown friends, and my family

i am back in minneapolis and ready to start blogging about my crazy college life yet again.

here's a little recap of my summer

but as always, it's fantastic to be back in the cities and doing what i love.

lately i have been completely obsessed with tiny farms

i think they are absolutely amazing and i aspire to have one some day

as much as i love the city, the small town girl deep inside gets the best of me

i would be the happiest girl alive on a little farm outside of the city with a huge garden,

and a few critters running around. i've always wanted a pair of alpacas but now i'd also like a few

chickens, and a couple of horses running around. it'd be the life. 

you have to admit it would be a beautiful way to live.

room tour

i'm finally all moved back in at home for the summer!

my room has been a complete disaster for a couple of weeks now,

but today i took some time to put my belongings away and create a space again.

i thought i would share my little get away, since i spend quite a bit of time in here.

please don't judge my books by their covers.

these vintage suit cases and hat boxes are some of the most important things in my room.
they were gifts from my grandma and mean the world to me.
